Roti Canai in Kuala Lumpur

If you are non-Malaysia, Did you know about roti canai? Roti Canai is one of the favourite food when it comes to breakfast in Malaysia. You can easily find the Mamak stalls no matter whether in Kuala Lumpur or somewhere else in this country.

Roti Canai is actually a type of pancake or to be exact the flatbread. Roti Canai is actually Indian food but it is not surprised when you see the people of Malaysia from all walk of life enjoy this Roti Canai regardless of their ethnicity.

How to eat Roti Canai? The plain Roti Canai to me is nothing if served without gravy. Usually the gravies are fish curry, dhal (type of grain) gravy and also the sambal (the condiment) made basically from chillies.

I myself really enjoy this delicacy and I love eating Roti Canai that cut into small pieces together with fish curry gravy in one plate.

From the picture you can see what I mean about my favourite served Roti Canai. Roti Canai is not perfect to me if served without my favourite drink, Teh Tarik. Teh Tarik is basically milk tea and literally ‘pulled tea’ and I know this is weird term to you.

If you never try this delicacy and also Teh Tarik before, make sure you not miss this when you are here in Malaysia. Roti Canai usually just cost you somewhere around RM1 per piece in Mamak stalls and the same goes for Teh Tarik.

If you like cooking and want to try make Roti Canai yourself at home, the recipe is so simple but the dough preparation might bother you. However if you really interested why not? I got the Best Roti Canai in KL video for you.

In the video you can see another rotis too like roti pisang, roti tisu etc. I came across this post about roti canai.
