Unifi – High speed broadband from Telekom Malaysia

TM or Telekom Malaysia launched their High Speed Broadband internet (HSSB) packages in March 2010.
The connection speed you can choose from the plan are 5, 10 and 20 Mbps.
Though some people say that Malaysia is still far behind when compared to its little Singapore neighbour, at least we can say it’s ‘better late than never’ for this.

Personally, I think the cheapest 5 Mbps plan is still ‘pricey’ (RM149 monthly fee) to most Malaysians (consider the average Malaysians’ living cost and the salary) and for those heavy downloader, remember that there is 60 GB bandwidth (or data transfer) cap for this plan.
The same goes with other 2 packages with their respective download limit. As for data transfer, you use it a lot if you love watching videos on Youtube, Metacafe etc because the videos are actually downloaded before you can view them on your computer.
However, if you really want to upgrade or replace your current internet subscription, it will be nothing wrong with that.
You don’t have to pay RM3,000 monthly fee for direct internet connection or also called leased line.
You can get the latest info from Unifi website.
