If you use the public transports like bus or LRT train regularly you may have spent certain amount of money on it depending how far your destination.

In the Kuala Lumpur city, RapidKl provides bus and LRT train transportation for the KLites.

Actually you can save your money on the fare up to 50 % if you use the RapidKL pass which you just need to buy the new one each and every month.

If you are a foreign tourist in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia you may find that there are lot of buses as the public transport. However you can only use your bus ticket once.

I want to share with you about Malaysia government owned Rapid KL buses that have lots of advantages when you use them. Why? Because you can reuse the bus ticket till midnight no matter how many times you want to use the bus.

The only drawback about these Rapid KL buses are they are a bit late compared to another public buses and to reuse the ticket you need to get the Rapid KL buses with the same initial letter on it.

This kind of bus just travel short distance and the Rapid KL bus in the picture above travel to Carrefour Wangsa Maju and the area nearby. The fare is RM1 and as I said you reuse it to take the T302, T304, T305 or the same T301 bus.

However don’t get me wrong because there are another type of Rapid KL buses with initial letter U and you need to pay RM2 for the ticket with the same concept of reusing the ticket with another Rapid KL buses that have the same initial letter.

From the fare you can expect they travel longer distance than Rapid KL buses that you pay RM1 fare. I must remind you that you maybe bored waiting to reuse the ticket as you need to wait a long time to go back to your first place you take the bus.

Hope this post helps you to understand about this Rapid KL bus.

Update: Now Rapid Kl no longer use this system starting September 1st 2009. Here is the post about the new Rapid Kl Bus Fares.
