Hospital Pusrawi is one of the private hospitals in Kuala Lumpur and located at Jalan Tun Razak. The architectural design of the building is amazing. There are another popular buildings nearby like the Malaysia National Library, Malaysia National Heart Institute (IJN) and also beside the Putra KL Hotel.

Their vision is to provide excellent services via technology and to be the model of Islamic values in 2010. I didn’t enter this hospital and I just passed by the building by walking on my way to Lake Titiwangsa. I took the pictures of the hospital building and here are 2 of them.

Hari Raya Puasa is around the corner, more and more people (the Muslims) here in Kuala Lumpur are going to their villages or hometowns. They want to get ready to celebrate Aidilfitri after one month of fasting. They need to help the family members to cook the traditional cakes or decorating the houses.

Now let’s talk about Ketupat. Malaysians know that one of the popular food served on that day is Ketupat.

When it comes to Ketupat the popular cuisine usually eaten with Rendang (type of dried curry usually with beef or chicken) , many people will instantly imagine the young coconut leave casings with the cooked rice filled in it. Because the rice is boiled in limited space in the casing, the rice become solid and bound to each other.

Actually there is anotherĀ  type of Ketupat that uses glutinous rice instead of normal rice and it doesn’t use young coconut leaves as the casing but Palas leaves. Personally I prefer Ketupat Palas (or pulut) rather than Rice Ketupat.

However today due to the busy life today, most people now especially in the cities can easily make this rice ketupat even though they do not know how to weave the casings. You can simply buy the instant one and boil it at home and serve.
