Pantai Cenang, Langkawi from Kuala Lumpur by bus

Pantai Cenang is a great beach to visit in Langkawi (perhaps the most popular island in Malaysia and located in the state of Kedah Darul Aman).
The Pantai Cenang beach is a long and beautiful beach which has good scenic sea view though personally I think it cannot beat the beauty of beaches in Redang Island, Terengganu.

From Kuala Lumpur, you can get an express bus to go either Kuala Perlis or Alor Setar (in Kedah) before continuing your travel to Langkawi by ferry.
If you choose Alor Setar, you have to go Kuala Kedah Kedah jetty terminal to board a ferry to Langkawi. From Kuala Kedah (ferry fare is RM23), it takes around 1 and half hour to reach the Kuah Jetty Point.
From Kuah you can get a taxi (as you’ll find no public buses in this Langkawi island) to Pantai Cenang.
This beautiful beach will cost you some RM24 taxi fare to reach from Kuah, the largest town in Langkawi island. Upon reaching the destination you don’t need to worry about accommodation (if you go there during out of the peak seasons or not on public holidays) as there are plenty of chalets and resorts that you can get under RM100 per room for one night stay.
Beside the great sea view, you can also enjoy the activities like Island Hopping which costs some Rm30 (a trip to Dayang Bunting Lake and also to Pulau Beras Basah which you can enjoy the better beach than Pantai Cenang).
