This is just a short post about flower but not just any type of flower. Did you know what is the Malaysia national flower? You can see this flower at many advertisements about visit Malaysia. If you guessed Bunga Raya or hibiscus that means you were right.

Hibiscus is said to be originated from China but you can find hibiscus all over Malaysia. I like to see the red one although there are many other colors available.

Usually the recreational parks have this hibiscus grown there. The one I found is at Titiwangsa Lake Garden not far from National Art Gallery (Balai Seni Lukis Negara) in Kuala Lumpur.

Hibiscus or Bunga Raya

Hibiscus or Bunga Raya

Raya is a Malay word meaning ‘big’ or ‘large’ and Bunga Raya literally means Big Flower. So Hari Raya can be translated as the Big Day to Muslims.

The video below that I found at Youtube shows the hibiscus tree bought from Cameron Highlands.

Maybe you like this flower too like the Malaysians do.

Even the Tea uses hibiscus here.
