I live in Kuala Lumpur but not around the downtown areas. My house is located in Setapak Jaya and life still goes on for me. Like usual I go to take a walk to KLCC building and some other interesting places in KL.

The recent H1N1 flu death toll has reached 73 as of this writing and this is a scary number. However from my observation, I can see people here in KL still can calm themselves even though I know that most people actually will be afraid of such a fatal flu.

There’s still no panic situation here but I can see some people are using face masks to protect themselves from the flu infection. Although most of the deaths are from the high-risk people like those who have asthma, obesity and the elderly, we still cannot take it for granted as it is the flu and can easily infects anybody.

Talking about face masks, it was not easy to see one in the shops or super markets before that H1N1 flu arrived here but now I don’t need to ask, it seems that I just can find and buy it everywhere.

The face masks above are sold RM7.90 for 10 pieces of them. I still remember I used them daily while I was working in a shoe factory to prevent the dust and also the chemical vapor. Read more on How bad the H1N1 Flu is in Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia?…

If I ask you ‘What is the exact time in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore now? I bet that you’ll take a look at your watch or mobile phone to tell me the answer. Or maybe you just to Google and type ‘Kuala Lumpur time’ in the search box and click the search button to know the answer.

But did you know that the actual timeĀ  is maybe a bit different from your answer? And why? For the elderly they probably already know the answer. However I don’t ask you to get worried about this time deviation but just to let you know the fact.
