In Malaysia you will notice there are many night markets here. So no wonder you too can find one in Kuala Lumpur. Usually the night market starts at around 6 pm to 11 pm and sells lots of Malaysia delicacies as well as household products.
Night market is locally known as ‘Pasar Malam’ and very popular among Malaysians especially those who want buy fresh chicken, vegetables etc.

Lots of people go to Pasar Malam in Taman Setapak Jaya, KL
What I love about Pasar Malam is I can buy and enjoy my favourite food like Apam Balik and Murtabak. If you are non-Malaysian and never been here you may wonder what are the food I mentioned just now. The first picture above is the image of Pasar Malam held each and every Saturday night in Taman Setapak Jaya, Kuala Lumpur.

Apam Balik (near the hands)
What I can tell you about apam balik is; it is just a sweet pancake with the corn, coarse grounded peanuts and sugar inside it. When I go to Pasar Malam, usually I buy one because I don’t want to miss the delicious and sweet taste and this Apam Balik costs RM2.
Another thing I like is Murtabak that is similar to Roti Canai ( type of pancake) but this is one normally has meat or chicken curry mix with egg as the filling. You can find the spicy one or with the sweet taste.

The hot murtabaks are being cooked
Don’t forget to pay a visit to one of the night markets or Pasar Malam in this country when you visit Malaysia and I bet you will arrive in Kuala Lumpur soon.

If you have been to Puduraya you might have passed by this Restoran (restaurant) Anuja located opposite of Puduraya bus terminal in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. I still remember the first time I had the meals here was around 22 years ago and I was only 8-year old then.

Restoran Anuja from a distance
Now sometimes I go there to have Nasi Beriani and I won’t miss the Mamak (Indian style) Fried Mee there. At least from my personal view, I can tell you these two meals are very delicious as I like the Indian curries and spices. For some of you, maybe you don’t like the oily fried mee.

Nasi Beriani Kambing (Beriani Rice with Lamb)
I ordered one plate of this Nasi Beriani but still not enough, so I ordered the fried mee and share with my friend.

After finishing this fried mee, I was so full and really enjoyed the meals. Next time if you go to Puduraya, don’t forget to drop by here and have the meals there.
